High View House - Pirates Bay Views

An excellent stay in a beautiful spot. We'll be back again to Pirate Bay. Positive: This was the pick of our two weeks in southern Tassie. We'll come back here for sure! A lovely modern house overlooking Pirate Bay. Lots of birdlife and native bush. It is on a main road but after a while I didn't notice traffic noise. Loved that it's near the beach, and thank you to Macy who told us about the track through the scrub to get there. We drove to the National Park nearby and it was a great walk from Tasman Arch to Waterfall Bay too. All in all a great stay! Thank you very much for your help with the teapot, Macy. :) Negative: Be aware you will need to carry your bags up a flight of stairs. We were fine (my partner carried them haha), but if you want views you need stairs.

We loved our stay and would return if we come back to Tassie. Positive: Everything really and location was outstanding, so was the view. It was really comfortable and had everything that we needed. Negative: The driveway was difficult to turn around in. Luckily our RAV was small enough to do it.

Positive: Beautiful and tranquil location in bush with wonderful view, path down to beach, induction cooktop Negative: More empty shelves for personal items in kitchen and bedroom would have been useful

Good location to visit Port Arthur Positive: Good location for peninsula & port Arthur. Comfy & quiet & clean. Negative: Notes not complaints : -steep drive -lots of steps to carry luggage but then you get a view

Macy the host was very accommodating and friendly. Position of the house is excellent for walkers/swimmers. Beds were very comfortable. Only two towels for a 4 night stay might be a bit mean. Plenty of stairs - not for the very unfit or people with mobility issues..
